For many years, the people of Iran have borne the burden of political, economic, and social crises beyond their control. Caught between domestic repression and the consequences of regional instability, millions of Iranians are facing increasingly difficult living conditions.
In recent years, and particularly following the latest armed conflicts and escalating security measures inside the country, many individuals and families have found themselves in situations of extreme vulnerability. The cost of living continues to rise, access to essential medications and healthcare has become increasingly difficult, and many regions experience shortages of water, electricity, and other basic services. At the same time, countless families have lost their livelihoods and struggle to meet even their most fundamental needs.
In response to this urgent situation, a group of concerned civil society members and activists has come together to provide a safe and trusted space for collecting funds through Fondation Marius Jacob. The objective is to support people in Iran who have been affected by the recent armed conflict as well as by the increasingly militarized and securitized environment inside the country.
The ongoing hardship has disproportionately impacted the most marginalized communities, leaving many without access to essential support, resources, or viable pathways for survival. As direct channels of assistance have become increasingly restricted, a network of volunteer activists, grassroots organizers, and community members inside and outside Iran has established alternative and secure pathways for delivering aid. Through trusted networks and long-standing collaborations, collected funds are distributed among established groups that have identified safe and reliable methods for transferring support to affected communities.
For years, civil society activists in Iran and abroad, together with volunteer networks, have worked during periods of military attacks, public protests, natural disasters, and economic crises to assist vulnerable individuals, repair damages, and improve living conditions wherever possible. This network brings together people from diverse fields and professions, including doctors, surgeons, advocates for children and migrants, labor activists, teachers, journalists, artists, and community organizers, all cooperating across multiple cities to provide assistance to those facing urgent hardship.
A significant portion of the funds will be allocated to supporting unemployed workers, particularly those in the petrochemical and steel sectors and other industries and infrastructures affected by recent events. Assistance will also be directed toward heads of households and vulnerable families across different regions of the country. Given the widespread unemployment and severe economic pressures faced by these communities, continued support remains urgently needed to help meet basic living necessities.
How the Funds Will Be Used
The funds collected will be used to support affected individuals and families through:

roviding financial assistance for daily living expenses and essential needs. Covering the costs of repairing homes and workplaces damaged during the armed conflict.Supporting medical expenses, including medication, treatments, and surgeries.Assisting with the relocation of belongings from damaged homes to safer locations.Purchasing and distributing essential supplies such as food, medicine, blankets, and temporary shelter materials.Supporting small businesses, self-employed workers, and local entrepreneurs whose activities have been disrupted by conflict, economic instability, or damage to infrastructure, helping them restore their livelihoods and continue supporting their families and employees.Supporting cultural, educational, and community-based initiatives that help preserve social ties, promote resilience, and sustain spaces for creativity, learning, and collective well-being during times of crisis.
Every contribution, regardless of its size, can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing extraordinary hardship.
It is our hope that the violence and destruction will come to an end soon and that a more peaceful and secure future awaits the people of Iran. Until then, a dedicated network of activists and volunteers remains committed to supporting affected communities to the fullest extent possible.
